Artificial Agency Integrates Agentic Behavior into First Commercial Video Game in Dimensional Double Shift’s New Single Player Mode
Artificial Agency announced that it has integrated its Behavior Engine into Owlchemy Labs' Dimensional Double Shift for a new single-player mode. The mode lets one human player collaborate moment to moment with multiple AI robotic coworkers called T.E.M.P.s, each filling a distinct cooperative role. The company says the agents can interpret intent, coordinate and adapt in real time, with the mode planned for release in the first half of 2027.

AI crew members with distinct cooperative roles could change how NPCs feel in play. I especially want to see how they behave when the player fails or improvises.
