JALI Research and Goodbye Kansas Partner to Launch Engine-Agnostic Digital Human Pipeline Driven by JALI's Lip Sync and Facial Animation System and Project Freya
JALI Research and Goodbye Kansas announced a strategic partnership that combines JALI's multilingual lip sync and facial animation system with Goodbye Kansas' Project Freya facial rigging. The result is an engine-agnostic, lightweight digital human pipeline designed for cinematic-quality characters across proprietary engines, PC, console, and other targets. For AI characters, the announcement matters because the same facial performance and multilingual pipeline could extend into AI-driven interactive characters and real-time experiential entertainment.

Facial expression and lip sync decide a lot of an AI character's believability. If the pipeline is not tied to one engine, it could travel more naturally from games into attractions or AITuber-style experiences.
